Birthday Gifts For Women

I heard a shocking statistic the other day that said 2-3% of guys have admitted to buying Christmas Gifsts in gas station on Christmas Day for their loved ones.  This pretty much confirms the facts that guys obviously need help with birthday and Christmas gifts ideas for her (us!).

I asked my husband about this and he pleaded the 5th, (smart move buddy!).  But I asked him what the deal was with men and their gifts giving and getting and why it’s such a chore.

The defense responded:

“Look, when we agree with you we’re wrong, when we don’t agree with you we’re wrong, when we do what you tell us to do (like going out once in a while) we’re still wrong.

If you tell me what you want I’ll go get it no problem, but I don’t get any “credit” for that because you think I was just knockin’ off another item on my “honey-do” list.

So then I think about stuff you might like for Christmas or your birthday and that doesn’t tend to go over well either.  So when I see something in a store somewhere you might like I don’t really think about where it came form like a gas station or hardware store or Bed, Bath, and Beyond, or something from those artsie-fartsie stores like Christmas Tree Shop.

I just see stuff in an aisle somewhere that I think you might like and I get it for you.  I figured that if I get you what you asked me to get you then I’m doing OK so far, and some little trinkets and small gifts, no matter where they come from, are just icing on the cake, so I don’t really think too, too much about the source or the gift since I already got you what you asked for!

The Defense rests:

OK, Guys listen up, now its our turn to reveal the secrets behind buying perfect Christmas Gifts and Birthday Gifts for Her, US…

Buying us artsie-fartsie stuff and cosmetics stuff and health and beauty stuf fis something we like to do for ourselves as women.  If you did buy us something like a scented body oil lotion or Yankee Candles, we might no tlike the scents.

And if we don’t like the scent so raroma or whatever, then we are going to think,

“Man of man, doesn’t he realize that I never use Plumeria lotion or scents but another type?”

So, if you’re going to go that route with us and get us something like that you should first chek to see what we currently use for scented lotion and body oils and what-not, thne go ge tus the same thing.

At which point, upon receipt of this typ eof gift, we’ll be thinking and saying,

“Oh wow, you know what kind of lotions and oils I use, I can use it! thanks honey”

Books- if she watches Oprah, she probably wants half the books Oprah’s touting on her show, Books go good with tea, a big mug and a sofa.

Tea- chamomille tea is relaxing, as ar eother type so fteas, so if she’s a tea drinker get her some boxes of tea that yo uknow she already like and maybe find and order some higher-end not off the shelf teas soemwhere.  Also throw in some big mugs they cna wrap their hands around when curling up on the sofa with tea and a good bok.
